Tour Synopsis
Towns have grown bigger and the roads have grown longer, but little else has changed in Bhutan since visitors first arrived in the 1970s even today few visit this magical kingdom. You will be our welcome guest in this land where culture and religion are an integral part of everyday life; in this itinerary we offer you the chance to experience this way of life for yourselves. We will travel over the high passes where you will have spectacular views of the snow-capped peaks of the high Himalayas; follow rivers as they flow through verdant valleys, walk on wooden bridges across the crystal-clear rivers to reach ancient dzongs (fortresses) and follow prayer-flag lined paths to isolated villages. In Bumthang we will attend the Yak Choe Festival and walk through some beautiful landscapes to ancient temples and monasteries. We offer you a glimpse into another world, another way of life. Bhutan is a spiritual country, but fun is never far away!
